Many events are inevitable and we know it will happen soon, and now co-CEO of RIM Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis has come down from their positions, and one of RIM's co-Coo, Thorsten Heins, has stepped in to take the role as CEO. Of course, this change does not mean RIM will change in strategy. In addition to reforms in the position of CEO, board member Barbara Stymiest, who has been seen as key to taking over as CEO has taken over the board seat. Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis will retain their shares in the company and Mike Lazaridis will take over the vice-chairman of the board.
Thorsten Heins herself worked at Siemens for 20 years before joining RIM in 2007. RIM said that the company's strategy will remain unchanged and will still push the BlackBerry 10 years. Sharing is sexy
