Review BlackBerry P’9981 Porsche Design

A few days ago I sent a BlackBerry P'9981 Porsche Design for review. The first time I held it, I also wrote about the first impression of this device holds and can be read here. So how do the review? Check out my review of the following:


Starting from the contents of boxes of purchase. There is a BlackBerry P'9981, docking, battery type, labeled JM1 but Porsche Design, Data Cable, Handsfree premium, 4 kinds of charger plugs to form different types ranging from U.S., Europe, Asia, and several guidebooks. Looking at housing BlackBerry P'9981 design is different from the form of BlackBerry in general. At the front of the Porsche Design inscribed thereon. With a futuristic design with cast housing dark gray color and chrome colored bezel surrounded dubbed BlackBerry makes it worth the premium type. Measuring 115 x 67 x 11.3 mm and weighs 155 grams, the price can reach $ 2000, in Indonesia has been sold illegally at a price above $ 20 million. Porsche Design P'9981 while the BlackBerry is a new release in the UK and middle east.

When viewed from the specifications, there is no hardware that differentiates it from 9900 aka the BlackBerry Bold Dakota. So I will not write another review about the exact same hardware for the BlackBerry 9900 and the review can be read here. So what differentiates the BlackBerry Bold 9900?

Different forms of housing must total the BlackBerry Bold 9900. Besides its size slightly wider and thicker, but it does not make it thick when grasped.
Housingnya own specially designed by Porsche Design with a limited quantity. The design is futuristic and to date only one design that was issued by Porsche Design for BlackBerry

BlackBerry P'9981 uses a special OS for Porsche Design P'9981. Although his version is also still a BlackBerry OS 7.

Keypad was fairly comfortable when used. See the curve that looks stiff, but comfortable typing beyond the BlackBerry 9900. BlackBerry somehow very comfortable to wear P'9981 typing.

User Interface is different, because it uses themes that are designed specifically for the BlackBerry Porsche Design.

Price is also a very clear distinction. Cast housing with Porsche Design, the price offered to be very expensive. This is the type of premium BlackBerry by RIM highest price in history.

Pros:

The most expensive premium type ever launched by RIM
Made for very comfortable typing

Cons:

Price is very expensive for a BlackBerry
Exactly the same specifications as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 Dakota

Conclusion:

For a specification of the BlackBerry Premium with no difference with the BlackBerry 9900, are just different forms of housing, as well as user interface design can attract enthusiasts BlackBerry users to buy it? The price offered was categorized as a premium, so maybe users will think three times to buy. What about you? Sharing is sexy
